Hernando Antonio's story

Hernando Antonio, age 70, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives with his spouse in the city of Cartagena. He has a business selling artisan items such as backpacks, bags, decorated bowls, etc.

He began the business selling merchandise and handicrafts that he brought from nearby municipalities to places in the historical city center. With the passing of years, he saw the opportunity to rent a shop, and has been established there for ten years. He decided to fill the business to generate income for himself and his family. His shop is popular in the sector, thanks to the products and good prices he offers. It has potential clients such as friends, neighbors, tourists, and family.

Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, his business declined due to bio-security issues and his income dropped drastically. Now he is requesting his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to invest in the purchase of bags, hats, backpacks, and hammocks.

Please support him in his loan for his business.
