Jaisis Antonio's story

Jaisis Antonio is a 47-year-old microentrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla. He has a business selling pig meat and cattle, with about 3 years of experience in this activity.

He started this business because his father used to do the same activity, and he learned the trade from him. He has one worker who takes care and feeds the animals. His customers are his neighbors, friends, and others.

As a result of COVID-19 around the world, his work diminished due to biosafety reasons, and his incomes went down dramatically. He is currently requesting his first Kiva loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation with the objective of investing in stock for items such as feed, vaccines, and other pigs.
