El Genizaro Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fresh fruits and vegetables to sell.

El Genizaro Group's story

“El Genizaro” is a Communal Bank that was established by Pro Mujer in Masaya, Nicaragua. Over many loan cycles, the group members have stayed together and maintained their friendships. They need a loan to restart and restock their businesses.

In the photo, Iris del Socorro is the woman who is seated in the middle of the group with her hand raised. She is married and her husband works as a gardener. They have three school-age children. Her goal is to finish the construction of her house. Iris del Socorro has been selling fruits and vegetables for the past seven years. A new loan would allow her to maintain capital to use as float. There are no challenges, including the various crises in Nicaragua and the current worldwide pandemic, that can prevent Iris from achieving her dreams.

She is counting on the support of the lenders so that she can make progress!
