Confianza En Dios Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four quintals of maize and firewood at wholesale prices as well as eggs and cottage cheese.

Confianza En Dios Group's story

These people are business owners in Confianza en Dios, a community association within Pro Mujer, based in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. There are twelve members in the group who over several loan cycles have maintained their commitment to overcoming adversity so they can keep their businesses running. They sell clothing, cosmetics, tortillas, and run a corner store.

Maria Rufina (seen in the middle of the photo wearing a brown skirt and top) is 56 years old and an outstanding client. She is the secretary of the group and for eight years has worked with loans. She has eight children, all adults, and also cares for three grandchildren. A loan will allow her to run a tortilla business. She plans to buy four quintals of maize and firewood at wholesale prices as well as eggs and cottage cheese.

Despite the enormous challenge caused by illness that today affect her community, including coronavirus, this enterprising woman has figured how to diversify her business and get ahead, because the need for food never stops.

Help this woman with a loan and transform her life!
