Félicitine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 150 chickens and 550 kg of feed.

Félicitine's story

Félicitine is 40 years old and married. Three of her five children are already independent. Her family lives on the outskirts of the city. Her husband works as a rickshaw operator.

For the past 15 years Félicitine has worked raising chickens. She began with a few chickens, using her own means as the capital. Later on she partnered with Vahatra in order to take out loans. Félicitine has steadily multiplied her number of poultry, using the rest of her profits to increase her savings.

Recently, she has begun to build a house, a goal she has been saving towards for seven years. Félicitine is proud of her progress. She continues to take out loans in order to pursue her business and increase her funds.

With this loan Félicitine relies on Kiva lenders in order to purchase 150 chickens as well as 550kg of feed for them. She sells her poultry herself from home, to her loyal clientele.

Félicitine plans to use her profits to finish the construction of her house. She hopes to have the support of Kiva lenders.
