Jenethy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase retail goods to stock up her small kitchen shop and better provide for her customers.

Jenethy's story

Jenethy is a 28-year-old mother of two, her children are age 7 and a baby of 3 months old. She has her partner who is a bus driver. Jenethy lives with her small family in her father-in-law's house. They lives in an urban suburb which is one of the largest residential areas in Port Vila, city of Vanuatu. Her community relies on the food industry a lot, and despite the Covid-19 pandemic it has been quite alright for one to make income.

Jenethy has requested a loan to help her purchase retail goods so she can stock up her small kitchen shop to better provide for her customers. She wants to increase her stock as shops nearby have certain opening hours and during the odd hours when a customer needs help, her kitchen shop can help out. With her earned revenue, she will pay for her child's school fees. Jenethy just started off her business back in late 2020. Her partner is very supportive of her and helps her whenever he can.
SPBD - Vanuatu has supported Jenethy for over a year now, and this is her second loan. She successfully repaid her first loan on time. From her loans, Jenethy is motivated to expand her business so she can continue to support her children in their education.
