but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to plant plantains and corn, providing opportunities in native indigenous territories of Panama.

Matney Bury's story

Meet Matney Bury!

She is a farmer from the rural community of Ipeti Embera in East Panama, a region historically excluded from basic financial services.

Matney Bury's family is known for their resilience and hard work in agriculture, specializing in plantain and fruit farming. Also, she sells tamales to her neighbours to generate more income for her family.

Today, she is applying for her first loan to buy corn seeds, prepare the land and hire young temporary workers locally to plant plantain on a small land that she works with her family. This venture will generate much-needed jobs in rural Panama.

Thank you for contributing to women's microenterprises that are excluded from basic financial services.
