Manuel Bolivar's story

Manuel is a rural man who resides in the community of Yalquer Bajo. He is 53 years old and lives with his partner and child in a small house that was supplied to him by the farm where he works as the head caretaker. His duties include looking after the animals and maintaining the crops that have been planted in the fields. Every day, he and his partner wake up at dawn to milk the cows. The milk is sent to a dairy plant for processing. Afterwards, he is charged with dividing the pastures so that the cattle can graze. Once he has completed his duties, his employer allows him to pursue other income-generating activities from his home, which has helped to improve his quality of life.

Manuel is very grateful that his boss has allowed him to raise his own animals. For this reason, he is receiving his first loan, which he will use to buy a few heifers, vitamins, balanced feed, dewormers, salt, and molasses. He hopes to continue improving his quality of life.
