Y Aka Group's story

Twenty one women decided to join together and help one another and be able to be part of this group. They are in their 3rd loan cycle with the Women's Committee program where everyone looks to better themselves and get ahead.

Olga is one of the members of the group. She earns a living selling natural medicines. She mentions that although her business is modest it helps her generate the means to be able to offer her loved ones better living conditions. She sees herself as a self-sacrificing person who despite of her daily difficulties looks for a way to continue to improve and help her family as she has been doing up to now.

She is requesting this loan to buy natural medicine to sell. Doing this she can continue with her sales as she has been doing.

Note: There is only one person in the photo but it is a group loan. A group photo is not possible without a gathering of people, prohibited because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
