but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase firewood, corn and meat.

Nehemias Group's story

The representative of this group is Marta. She lives with her husband, one of her daughters and two grandchildren.

Marta sells tortillas, tamales, paches [Guatemalan potato tamales], and a variety of food. She has been working as a merchant for several years.

Marta is applying for a loan to pay for ingredients to produce the various dishes she sells. She needs to buy corn, firewood, various vegetables, and a variety of meats to make tamales and paches.

Marta sells from her home. Most of her customers are her neighbors. They are all familiar with the delicious products she sells and come to her for the tortillas. She delivers them to some houses, as these customers have been buying from her for years and ask her to deliver them to their homes.

Marta's goals are to improve her sales, make more profit, contribute to the household expenses, and help her grandchildren with whatever she can give them.

Marta is grateful for the support she has received because she has been able to see positive changes in her life.
