Las Rosas De La Central Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more baby female chicks.

Las Rosas De La Central Group's story

Julia is a 41-year-old married mother of 7 children (aged 5-21). She has a 6th grade education. Her husband is a farmer. Their oldest son is independent and finished high school. The second son went to school for 9 years and works. The other 5 attend elementary school.

For 6 years, Julia has had a poultry business raising laying hens. She sells their eggs and sells some of her hens when they are no longer laying. With her 1st Kiva loan, Julia will buy more baby female chicks!

As if Julia isn’t busy enough with 7 children and her poultry business, she occupies the position of President of her Friendship Bridge Trust Bank “Las Rosas de la Central”. The group is composed of 7 other ladies who live in a rural area in the department/state of San Marcos. The women raise poultry and own convenience stores. They appreciate their monthly meetings when a Facilitator designs interactive educational training sessions. Topics are relevant to their lives and drawn from 4 areas: health, family, women, business. This effective combination of loans, education and health care is called “Microcredit Plus”.

Thank you, Kiva investors, for your kindness in funding these essential loans! You are much appreciated!
