José Manuel's story

José Manuel is a 21-year-old small business owner and resident of the town of Soledad. He lives there with his spouse and sells provisions, food, and drinks in bulk out of his store as his main occupation.

His business is halfway formalized. He started this work as the manager of the store that his parents had. Gradually he gained confidence and accrued savings. With the help of loans to individuals, he managed to become independent and start to put together a mini market that now has a good volume of sales and clients. This has contributed to his supporting his family.

He is well-known for good-quality products and low prices, but due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, his level of work declined for biosafety reasons and his income decreased drastically. This is why he is requesting his first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo, so as to invest in buying rice, dairy products, pasta, groceries, vegetables, drinks, provisions, and food in general, as well as another display cabinet and two shelves for storing merchandise.

Support him in his loan for his business.
