Zvinoda Kuchinga1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more agricultural surplus and fertilizers to sell in the market in order to increase their income.

Zvinoda Kuchinga1 Group's story

The group has 11 members, most of them women. They have worked together in agriculture for more than three years.

Together the group buys a variety of agricultural surplus such as veggies and cereals, from smaller farmers to sell in the market. The group also buys fertilizers from big companies to sell in his village in order to benefit smaller farmers that are unable to reach the main city.

In 2020, the group started benefiting from iDE's training about finance and business plans. The training helped the group to become more consistent in their business and also to record the costs and gains.

Zatina is one of the group members. She is a 46-year-old Mozambican woman and has been helped the other member's group to improve their income. She has also motivated the members to create a small savings group as a way to improve their finances.

The access to finance is still an issue in many rural communities. For this reason, the group is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more agricultural surplus and fertilizers to sell in the market in order to increase their income.
