Zamiri Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to get supplies of fish wholesale, which will boost her original capital.

Zamiri Group's story

Elizabeth is a customer of Hekima IMF and president of the Zamiri village group. She is 37 years old, married and mother to six children, all of whom are at school. Her husband is a trader.

She sells fish and began this business in 2005 with her own starting capital. Later on she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which has meanwhile developed steadily.

With this new loan she is going to stock up with wholesale fish, which will boost her original capital. The challenge in her business is linked to the loss of fish before they are sold.

She would like her children to continue with their studies and also to build up her business. Finally, she thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who do not have access to bank funding in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis. The photo is of the group leader only, in respect of Covid-19 social distancing measures.
