Kabelo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting, and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Kabelo's story

Kabelo is a 23-year-old man who lives in a one-bedroom house with one other family member. He works as a shop attendant but struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. He spends the greatest amount of his energy expenses on paraffin and electricity, which costs up to 80 Lesotho lotis (LSL) per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs such as phone charging.

Kabelo bought the ACE One cookstove to help him and his family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity to charge their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE One clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE One cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
