A loan helped to stock up her business by buying more cooking oil, sugar, salt, and soap.

Umurava Cb Group's story

Delphine is a 33-year-old mother of two children aged two and seven years. Her husband is a tailor. For the past eight years she has owned a shop in her community, trying to make ends meet for her family.

Delphine is the leader of the group named Umurava CB, which in English means “good people”. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses within the community and outside their community.

Delphine will use her loan to stock up her business by buying more cooking oil, sugar, salt, and soap so that she can sell them within her community. She hopes the profits from her sales will enable her to grow her business.

She is thankful for your support,

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to get a photograph of all the group members, but was able to photograph one representative.
