Marta Gloria's story
Mrs. Marta Gloria C. is 31 years old. She lives with her husband in their house located in the town of el Pedrerito La Montaña. There are 4 dependent children in the home who are in the community primary and high schools. Marta sells products of popular consumption such as: sugar, lard, rice, soap, oil, juice, and soda. She aslo has a part time job at the elementary school. Her husband works at a farm and he helps her financially. Marta will use the loan to buy more merchandise for her grocery store since she wants to diversify her business little by little and thus obtain more earnings. She has a project with her family building a new house, since they want to make it of more durable blocks. Presently they live in an earthen house which is very fragile and when it rains there is danger that it could cave in.
