Maria Dolores's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy corn, wood and lime and keep her business selling tortillas operating.
Maria Dolores's story
María is making the request for another loan as she needs working capital to strengthen her business. She will buy corn, wood and lime and keep her business selling tortillas operating. The process that María uses in her production of tortillas is artisanal that is to say using a stove and a comal (a flat griddle). Her previous loan helped to strengthen her business, thus keeping her source of economic income for her family alive. Her difficulties have stemmed from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. She had to close her business for some time and during this time she subsisted on the profits she had obtained from her business. About two months ago she started her business again. There are no changes in María's family unit.
