A loan helped purchase a wider range of stock to increase her profit margin.

Blandina's story

Blandina is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her nuclear family in Accra district in Ghana. She has a business selling clothes. With her previous Kiva loan she increased her stock. She used the profit she earned to reinvest into her business. Blandina is now requesting another loan to purchase a wider range of stock to increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to continue to grow her business. She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2 and half hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
