A loan helped purchase food ingredients in large quantities to increase her profit margin.

Agnes's story

Agnes is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district in Ghana. She operates an eatery business. She is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase food ingredients in large quantities to increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to support herself and her family's daily needs.

She will repay the 'social interest' on her loan by volunteering 2 and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path and active citizenship.
