A loan helped to pay for household latrine construction.

Sokha's story

Aged 44, Sokha is a brave, married man and highly respected in his local area. He lives with his spouse and his three children. All of them are farmers. He has been involved in planting and harvesting rice crop and others agriculture products seasonally for around six years. All of Sokha's children assist him greatly to earn more additional income.

Because of a shortage in his finances, he has applied for a loan in the amount of 6,000,000 KHR to pay for household latrine construction. This loan will enable him to pay on purchase for construction supplies as well as pay for labor costs.

This latrine is very useful for his family and provides them a clean and comfortable, suitable place for bathing. This latrine will also serve the community as to prevent the spread of various diseases, encourage participation in social sanitation, and there is no mud around the house. He aims to purchase more land for agricultural purposes and open a small grocery store to earn additional income. He sends his thanks to all lenders for helping his family.
