Yitzel Martiza's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to plant rice and hire workers, generating jobs in rural communities of Panama.

Yitzel Martiza's story

Meet Yitzel Maritza.

She is a farmer from the rural community of Zapallal in East Panama, a region historically excluded from basic financial services.

Yitzel Maritza's family is known for their resilience and hard work in agriculture, specializing in chicken-raising and rice farming. Also, her family was key in founding the community-owned bank that serves multiple women in her town.

Today, she is applying for her first loan to buy rice seeds and hire young temporary workers locally to plant rice in a small land that she works with her family. This venture generates much-needed jobs in rural Panama.

Thank you for contributing to women farmers who generate opportunities in rural Panama.
