Ushindi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on small fry and dried fish to strengthen her financial capital.

Ushindi Group's story

Mrs. Jeannette is a client with the microlending institution Hekima and the president of the groupe villageoise "Ushindi". She is 60 years old, widowed, and the mother of six children who attend school.

She sells fish and began this activity 22 years ago with startup funds from her deceased husband. Later, she turned to Hekima for support with her evolving business. With this new loan, she will stock up on small fry and dried fish. This will strengthen her financial capital. The largest challenge she faces with her business is linked to a lack of customers.

Mrs. Christine would like for her children to continue their studies and would also like to build a house. Finally, she thanks Hekima and the lending partners for their support of small business owners without access to banking services, particularly in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo shows only the group leader due to COVID-19 social distancing regulations.
