Carmen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a small, woman-led e-book publisher help others write and publish their own books.

Carmen's story

I have a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from California, I have worked for over 40 years in the communications industry and I am well known for the diverse facets in the media industry. Most recently as a university director, book writer, and scriptwriter. I began my career at the age of 14 writing for a show business magazine. At 18, I became the editor in chief of "El Imparcial", an important newspaper in Puerto Rico. I was the first woman to write about Latin music and the founder and editor of "Salsa Magazine", a specialized publication about the 70's music scene. I started a book writing career with great success and published 16 books: "La Diva" and "Una Diva en Decadencia", "Intimidades de una Diva", "La ahijada de la muerte", "La Lupe: La Leyenda", "La Fania que Conocí", "La Mujer del Presidente", "Scammer", "Historia de Amor", among many others. I am the founder and president of the first Puerto Rican Ebook publishing company, SinPapelySinTinta.com. Through my publishing company, I have been helping people develop, write, and publish books. I received a distinction for my 40 years of trajectory as a journalist and writer by the Women's Chamber in Mexico and the House of Representatives in celebration of my 40 years as a local and international professional and because of my example and contribution to Puerto Rican society.
