A loan helped to buy fingerlings to raise and sell.

Pa Khoang 57 Group's story

Que is the young woman in the red coat, standing first from the right hand side in the photo. She is 26 years old and married. Currently she lives with her parents-in-law, husband and two sons in a small traditional Thai house in Dien Bien province, a northwestern border province of Vietnam.

In order to have money to cover family expenses and pay school fees for her 2 children, one in 5th grade, the other in kindergarten, Que and her husband always work hard to earn as much as possible. Her family's main source of income comes from agricultural activities such as growing rice, raising fish, and raising pigs.

Recently, African swine fever in pigs made it impossible for her to continue raising pigs, so in order to maintain her family's income, she wants to expand her fish farming model. For that purpose, she continued to borrow her 5th loan at the Anh Chi Em microfinance program, after successfully repaying the previous loan, to buy fingerlings.

Que hopes that with 5 years of fish farming experience and agricultural technical support from the Anh Chi Em, the fingerlings will grow and be sold quickly, bringing her high profits.

Que wishes that her family's economy will soon be stable and her children will have a bright future and happy life.
