A loan helped begin poultry farming so that she can make ends meet and meet the market for poultry in her area.

Susanah's story

Hello Kiva community! Meet Susanah, pictured above. She is very hard-working, honest and humble woman who hails from Kitale, Kenya, an area that is blessed with world-renowned runners and excellent weather patterns that favor farming activities. She is a proud mother who really loves and adores her child and family. She will do anything in her power to give them the best.

She has been farming for the past few years and has provided them with all the basic needs that they require. Susanah practices mixed farming, meaning crop and animal farming, and through these two activities, she has been able to support her family. However, she still faces challenges, which is why she wants to diversify and begin poultry farming so that she can make ends meet and meet the market for poultry in her area.

Susanah is seeking a loan to buy poultry. She believes that through the increased income, she will be able to comfortably take care of her family. She has experienced difficulties in acquiring funds to start her poultry business, but she now feels relieved knowing that Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva to support hard-working women, helping them to be economically empowered and to be able to realize their dreams. Susanah is really grateful in advance for your help and contribution.
