Aracely Yaneth

Flag of Ecuador
Olmedo, Loja, Ecuador / Agriculture

Aracely Yaneth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chicks and piglets, feed, vaccines, vitamins, waterers, etc.

Aracely Yaneth's story

Aracely Yaneth is 66 yaers old. She is a widow and has 4 children, all of them adults and independent. She lives in her own home. They reside in Olmedo, a canton in the Manabí province. Olmedo's source of wealth are agriculture (coffee, cacao, banana, plantain, corn rice and citrus crops) and vast expanses of pasture for cattle.

Aracely Yaneth raises and sells chickens and pigs at home. She raises them until they are grown and have a good weight to sell them. She sells to merchants who come to buy them, and she also sells to her neighbors. She works everyday, feeding and caring for them. At first, the shutdown left her with no work because of the fear of contagion and various restrictions that barred her from selling, because the merchants couldn't go to buy from her. However, now she is following all of the bio-safety protocols.

This loan is to buy chicks and piglets, feed, vaccines, vitamins, waterers, etc. Her dream is to have some big sheds to continue with her sales.
