Sicily's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy certified seeds and high quality fertilizers to improve her horticulture productivity.

Sicily's story

Sicily is 45 years old and is a mom of 4 children. She is very determined to give them a better life. She lives in Kerugoya with her children where you will find a lot of small farmers who work on their land and raise animals. Unfortunately, these farmers face many challenges, including the high cost of farm inputs.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high cost of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and farming inputs, which are always skyrocketing. To meet the high cost of farming inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions, which sometimes involves very complicated procedures for loan distribution.

Sicily requested a loan that she will use to buy farm inputs such as certified seeds and high quality fertilizers. This will improve her horticulture yields and generate more income. This intervention will help her fulfill the increasing demand for food in the market and in the process, generate more income to repay the loan and elevate the quality of her family's life.

Sicily hopes for your unselfish support and is very thankful in advance.
