Jesus Eduardo's story

Jesus Eduardo is 21 years old. He is single. At the moment he does not have any children. He lives at his parents’ home. They live in Portoviejo, a city affected by an earthquake on the 16th of April, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in vegetable production, legumes and tropical fruit for domestic consumption.

Jesus Eduardo has a barber shop at his parents’ house. Many people go there for haircuts. He also does tattoos according to what his customers ask him for. He works each day to cover his costs and to pay part of the household costs.

In his family, his grandmother became ill with Covid-19 and passed away and his grandfather passed away from sadness.

At the beginning, the social lock down left him without work because of fear of infection and various restrictions that stopped his customers from going to her workplace but now he is tending to customers with the bio security protocols.

This loan is to pay for electricity, a hair dryer, machines to cut hair, brushes, ink for tattoos, etc. His dream is to have a big tattoo centre with the barbershop and that his family are very healthy.
