Elida Elisabeth's story

Elida Elisabeth is 52 years old. She is married and has three independent adult children. An eight-year-old granddaughter, who goes to school, is living with her.

Elida Elisabeth, together with her husband, owns a restaurant. They live in San Clemente, a fishing village whose economy is based on fishing, salt extraction, tourism, and the sale of handicrafts made of fishing nets and objects made of seashells.

Elida Elisabeth, together with her husband, have a restaurant on the beach. She works every day preparing and selling special seafood dishes since that is their specialty. They are special dishes offered a la carte. Elida Elisabeth also makes inexpensive lunches for her customers so that they are within everyone's means.

Everyone in Elida Elizabeth’s family got sick with Covid-19 but they all recovered. At the beginning, social isolation kept her from working for fear of being infected and due to various restrictions that prevented her from going out to sell, but she is currently working following biosecurity protocols.

The purpose of this loan is to purchase fish, clams, shrimp, prawns, disposable containers, kitchen utensils, etc. Elida Elisabeth’s dream is to have a larger restaurant and for her family to be in good health.
