La Abundancia Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy basic grains.

La Abundancia Group's story

Aura, 37, is single and mother of 2 children. She runs a grocery store, a business that she started with the help of her mother 8 years ago. (She sells rice, beans, oil, corn, pasta, bread, among others).

She says that she receives extra income as remittances from her sister abroad. She seeks a loan again from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy basic grains.

She boosted her business with the previous loan and diversified her inventory. In this way she increased her customer base and also earned more profits.

Her goal is to continue investing in her business and save to improve her house in the future. She is part of the solidarity group "La Abundancia" along with Rafaela and Gricelda who are engaged in making and selling tortillas, ground coffee, and Nicaraguan tamales.
