Lệ's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a toilet for her family.

Lệ's story

Mrs. Lệ is 36 years old and married with three children who attend school. Her family lives in a small village in Quang Xuong district, a coastal region of Thanh Hoa province.

Lệ's husband works in construction around the country and far away from their hometown. Lệ is a farmer. She grows rice and vegetables and raises chickens and ducks to eat and sell. Their income is just enough to cover the cost of living.

One of the most critical difficulties that concerns Lệ is her family's latrine, which is not hygienic. Her income is not enough to get a new one. She is requesting a loan to purchase sand, cement, brick, and equipment to build a toilet, which will improve her family's living conditions.

This is Lệ's first loan with Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution. She sends thanks to all lenders and will repay the loan installments.
