Otilda Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy piglets and build a pigsty to start a pig-raising business.

Otilda Esther's story

Meet Otilda Esther! She is a teacher in the local community, and is also following her entrepreneurial spirit by focusing on plantain, cassava and cocoyam farming in a rural community called Santa Librada, East Panama.

Otilda Esther is a driven and ambitious woman who loves her business. She puts her entire effort into making it successful and wants to take it further.

She has identified a great opportunity in pig raising and wants to start a business in pig production, so she can distribute to local stores and restaurants. That's why she is asking for her first Kiva loan to build a pigsty and buy piglets and basic equipment to start a small new pig-raising facility.

Thank you for supporting women entrepreneurs from rural communities that have been historically excluded from basic financial services.
