Santa Rosa De Mitapasamanan Group's story
The community bank named Santa Rosa de Mitapasamanan has started their third loan cycle. All 13 members are from the Mitapasamanan community in the Vinchos district, located 50 kilometers from the city of Ayacucho. The population is mostly made up of agriculturists and cattle farmers. Julia is the treasurer of the community bank. She lives together with her husband and their 4 children, all of whom are attending school. Julia sells cheeses in the community and in other neighboring cities, Lima and Ayacucho. She started out selling only in the fairs of the region but her business started to grow. Julia wants to dedicate her time to dairy farming. This loan will be used in the purchase of a dairy cow. Julia dreams of keeping her kids in school and to one day have a house in the city of Ayacucho.
