She alternates household chores with retail sales. She only finished elementary school. From a very early age she started working alongsiD. her mother in order to cover household expenses. Since she was the oldest sister, she helped her siblings to have food and clothing every day. Today, she works in Pisac, a town noted for its arts and crafts, selling food to the area artisans and learning how to make costume jewelry (earrings, necklaces, armbands, bracelets, key rings) in order to have an extra source of income. She is asking for funds to buy materials and supplies to make the jewelry. The other group members are in crafts, Internet services, salchipapas (fried potatoes with fried sausage) sales, anticuchos (grilled, skewered beef heart) sales, torta sales, vegetable sales and store management.
