A loan helped to pay for farm inputs to grow more horticulture.

Grace's story

Hello, Kiva community!

This is 44-year-old Grace, a smallholder farmer who was born in chronic poverty. In spite of the challenges she has faced, such as failing to attend college, she remains undaunted.

With a clear insight into her purpose, she decided to venture into farming. Today, she attributes her success to her parents, who trained her in basic farming skills. She loves dairy and crop production because it earns her an income to support her family.

Grace is seeking a 60,000 KES loan, which she will use to pay for farm inputs to grow horticulture. This will allow her to grow more horticulture crops on the farm. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk her limited resources to expand a farm business. With this loan, Grace will be able to pay the high cost of farm inputs that are necessary for expansion.

A significant portion of the profits will be invested back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her children. She really hopes for your help and contribution.

Grace is thankful, in advance, and looking forward to your financial support and hoping for your trust.
