Tousinu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for her children's school fees so that they can get a good education, as well as for retail goods to stock up her shop and increase her income.

Tousinu's story

Tousinu lives in a village which is located 8 kilometres out of Port Vila, city of Vanuatu. Her village is one of the largest villages in Vanuatu and the main industry is agriculture. This industry provides a means of income for families, as well as nutritious and healthy meals for them.

Tousinu is 49 years old and is happily married. Her husband is her backbone who helps her with her business and family. She has three children aged 23, 18 and 13. Her two youngest are still in college. She lives with her family in their own home.

Tousinu has requested a loan to help her pay for her children's school fees so they can get a good education to earn a high paying job in the future. She will also purchase retail goods to re-stock her shop so that she can better provide for her customers and increase her income.

She will use her earned revenue to renovate her home and save up for her eldest son's wedding which will be around the end of the year.

Tousinu has had her shop since 2007 which has supported her family financially in providing food and paying for home bills. This is her fourth loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has faithfully repaid her previous loans on time.

Through her loans Tousinu feels empowered to expand her business so she can continue to support her family.
