Vani's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seedlings and taro tops for planting and hire workers to do farming.

Vani's story

Mrs Vani from Delaidamanu usually buys her fruits, vegetables and root crops from farmers and sells them at the central market in bundles. She has been successful in her market-vending business, which she started in 2019.

With the second wave of the COVID-19 outbreak in Fiji, there have been restrictions made on curfew hours and closing boarders, which make it very difficult for her to get her stock from farmers. Therefore, Vani wanted to start up farming.

She will use this loan to buy seedlings and taro tops for planting and also hire workers to work on her farm as she cannot do farming alone. Despite the challenge, Vani still maintains her market-vending business, selling on the roadside, as well as farming her own fruits, vegetables and root crops.
