A loan helped a black and woman-owned business acquire equipment to advance her daily operations and expand.
Finding out that our oldest son was type 1 diabetic, after being rushed to the emergency room, was one of the most challenging, yet enlightening experiences ever. Just like that, we were forced to switch it up and commit to a diet that was very different from what we'd known. It became our mission to create a menu for our family out of plant-based food that was as tasty and satisfying as the foods that had led us to one of the worst times of our lives. We knew we had to change our diet and we had to find a way to consistently renew our commitment to a healthier lifestyle. It was in the moments where confusion, fear, hope, and determination intertwined that Greedy Vegan Catering was born. We have been able to fuel our passion and stay the course along with our six children. There is value in the change that we've made that can be shared with others and we believe it is our duty to pass on what we have and are learning. We are definitely eager and excited to continue along this path and witness the change that a healthier lifestyle can bring to entire communities.
