Mildred's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy certified quality fertilizer to improve her maize and horticulture crops.

Mildred's story

Mildred is an ever-smiling mother of five from Kapsabet in the Rift valley region of Kenya. She decided it was time to wake up from her slumber and do something to empower herself as a smallholder farmer and mother. She is an inspirational female farmer.

For years her sources of income have been maize milk, eggs and horticultural produce. However, her biggest challenges are disease and a shortage of farm inputs. Farmers in the area lack capital to purchase inputs such as chemicals to prevent diseases. Mildred made the decision to join Juhudi Kilimo in order to access loans that would help her improve her farming activities.

She is requesting a loan to buy hybrid seeds and expand her horticulture and maize farm. The additional income from the expansion will go to her childrens' education. With your loan, her children will acquire a quality education that will act as a strong foundation for a bright future. Be inspired, support a Kenyan woman smallholder farmer!
