A loan helped to purchase cereals such as maize and beans and sell to her local market at a profit for a better life.

Bilha's story

Bilha ia a widow aged 60 years old and a mother of 8 children. She is a determined woman who never gives up despite the many ups and downs that she faces in her quest for a better future. She works smart because she believes in her abilities to succeed.

Bilha has been a dairy, poultry and crop farmer for the past few years. Through farming, she has changed her life. Apart from farming, she is also a cereals trader.

Bilha is seeking this loan to buy more cereals which she plans to resell and make more income to support her family. Juhudi Kilimo is a key player in the Kenyan agricultural sector serving to support farmers and micro-entrepreneurs financially thus ensuring sustenance and business continuity. Bilha is confident that Kiva lenders will respond positively to her loan request especially at this time when the world is struggling to combat Covid-19.
