Bella's story

Bella is a resident of Albuera, Leyte. She is 60 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a tricycle driver to provide their family’s need.

Now she is asking for a loan of PHP 12,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use to buy assorted grocery items like toiletries, snack foods, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices, drinks and vegetables to sell.

Bella aspires to expand her store in the future and become productive.
