Cindy Geovanna's story
Cindy, 28, is a single mom. Thanks to her parents' support, she was able to build a better life for her daughter and herself, since she could not count on the father, who bailed as soon as he heard of her pregnancy. Cindy is both father and mother to her daughter. Together with her own mother, she works as a day labourer in the morning, then goes home to tend to her chickens. This business makes from a welcome extra income when she sells them at the market. Cindy turned out to be quite good at this chicken business, which is why she wants to expand her operation and asks for a loan to buy chickens, growth feed, maize, wheat, and vitamins, among others. This way, she will fatten chickens quicker and get a good price.
