Las Rosas De Chimaltenango Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to use the loan to purchase new styles of clothing.

Las Rosas De Chimaltenango Group's story

Telma is 54 years old and is an ingenious woman who is pushing ahead.

She shares: “I am a single mother. I have dedicated myself to taking care of my 2 daughters, 21 and 28 years old. And despite having only 6 years of education, I worked for 14 years to generate an income for the family. Also, for 8 years, I have had a store in the local market where I sell clothes for women and children. Thanks to the income generated by this business, I was able to provide an education for my daughters. They are teachers and have their own jobs."

In order to offer new clothing designs, Telma requests the 3rd loan from KIVA. She will buy clothes.

There are 7 women in the Puente de Amistad Community Bank “Las Rosas de Chimaltenango”, who live in the department/state of Chimaltenango.

As they have little education, they value business training because it helps to better manage the businesses that sell corn tortillas, vegetables, hail, and bookstores. One of them repairs motorcycles.

Every 2 months, they have access to basic health care exams. Puente de Amistad's "Microcredit Plus" loan, educational training and healthcare program offers programs and services that create opportunities for families to build sustainable futures in Guatemala.

The 32,000 women who participate in the program are proud of the success they are achieving.

KIVA lenders, in association with Puente de Amistad, are indispensable in the development of these women.
