A loan helped to buy a little cart to transport her bread.

3 De Mayo Group's story

Nilda is the president of the 3 de Mayo communal bank. In the photograph she's holding a sign that indicates that she's the president. She was elected by the other colleagues because she's a good leader.

She's the single mother of two teenagers, a 15-year-old girl and her eldest, a 17-year-old boy. She wants them both to be able to go to college.

She's 45 years old and has worked for seven years making and selling bread. All the other members also have their own undertakings and they requested a loan from Sembrar Sartawi IFD to invest it to improve their businesses.

Nilda requested the loan to buy a better little cart for transporting her bread, because she sells as a street vendor in the Yotau area.

They're all mothers and they want to improve their children's quality of life.
