Glendys Zenobia's story

Glendys is an enterprising Venezuelan woman. She immigrated to Ecuador in 2019, and she settled in the city of Ibarra with the goal of providing a dignified life for her family.

Glendys lost her job in Venezuela. Then, with her savings, she had succeeded in starting a family business dedicated to distributing staple products to small stores. However, the business had to close when the products started to become scarce. This situation drove her to immigrate to Ecuador with her husband and children in search of a better quality of life.

Upon arriving in Ecuador, she looked for the help of friends and family that were in the country. In this way, her husband learned the business of selling home furniture, while Glendys is dedicated to selling fruit in their rented house. With a lot of effort, she increased her merchandise and had a variety of products to sell, until she managed to rent a commercial space.

In recent months, with the pandemic and government restrictions, her income was adversely affected, which resulting in a decrease in capital. This drove Glendys to request a loan to buy supplies, fruits, vegetables, and meat, with the goal of stabilizing the sales for her small business. Glendys is thankful for your supplies since it is important for improving her opportunities.
