Mercedes Gricelda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm fibers for making bricks.

Mercedes Gricelda's story

Mercedes Gricelda is 34 years old, married, and has two children. Her husband is an artisan. They live in the lowlands of Montecristi, a place that continues to be severely affected by COVID-19.

Mercedes Gricelda is a woman who partners with her husband so that they can get ahead, which is more important now since the pandemic has made things more complicated. They manage a factory for making bricks used for home construction. The bricks that they produce are delivered to merchants. Their business is doing much better at the moment, but they are still fearful, especially now with the reemergence of the virus. They hope to avoid a return of the worse days when they were not able to sell.

This loan will be used to buy firewood, sawdust, water, and palm fibers, which are the materials they use for making bricks.
