Carmita Martina's story

Carmita Martina is 47 years old, single, and lives with her relatives in the lowlands of Montecristi, a place that continues to be severely affected by COVID-19.

She is a hardworking woman who seeks to push forward, despite all of the difficulties caused by this virus. Thanks to her work, she is able to continue earning a living. Carmita Martina has a workshop where she makes buttons. She has four lathes that she operates with the help of other people. They make these products to sell on the premises, but she also takes them to the city of Manta where they can be exported to other countries. Despite the lingering fear that she feels, Carmita Martina is able to make a living.
