Gabrielle Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy two loads of second-hand clothing.

Gabrielle Group's story

Esperance is a client with the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the village group called "Gabrielle." She is married, 42 years old, and a mother of six children, who are all in school. Her partner is a driver.

Esperance sells second-hand clothing. She started this business in 2010 with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to evolve. With this new loan, she is going to buy two loads of second-hand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital. One challenge in her business relates to a lack of customers.

Esperance woud like to see her children continue in school and to develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services during the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. In the photo, there is only the leader of the group due to the social distancing measures in place for COVID-19.
