Ema Maria's story

This is Ema, a micro-entrepreneur who always brings with her new ideas for how to get ahead. She is characterized as being a bold, honorable, strong, and humble woman. For a number of years, she has made and sold hammocks, as well as selling ropes.

Ema has already had previous financing from Kiva, along with MiCrédito, which allowed her to increase production. Because of that, she feel so much confidence that she opted for a new loan from these two organizations to buy threads, ropes, and wood and pay her two co-workers.

Her goal is to set up a workshop and make her merchandise known in different places in the country.
